"When inspiration comes, I scribble it down. It might be an image, a character, a line of dialogue. I have to get that stuff down right away or risk having it just float away." - Benjamin Benne

Join Benjamin Benne (2017 - 2018 McKinght Fellow) in an investigation of plays with an image as their central ingredient. Learn how you might use an image as a tool for inspiration in the creation of your own work. Explore how images can allow you to access the personal and specific, and translate that into your writing.

This is the seminar for you if:

  • You want to find a new inspiration to write
  • You've got an image in mind that you can't shake
  • You're curious about a writer's process

PostScript: Benjamin is a Producer of Literary and Content with Forward Flux Productions in Seattle, his production las mariposas Y los muertos, will have it's world premiere there this fall.

Playwrights of all experience levels welcome.
