SEMINAR: Putting yourself in the play - autobiographical writing for the theater

Emily Feldman
Monday, December 12, 2016 - 6:00pm
Tuesday, December 13, 2016 - 2:30pm
Venue:
Online and at the Playwrights' Center
Cost:
$10 for members and $20 for non-members

This seminar will focus on how one can mine one's autobiography for play ideas and add depth and specificity to plays that are already in progress. We will look inward to find the unexpected stories in our personal histories and think about adapting them into plays. We will also strategize about how we can bring more of ourselves to every play we write, especially the plays that are farthest from our own experience.

Online participants should be prepared to join via webcam on their computer or laptop. Please wear a headset or earbuds with a built-in microphone (to minimize background noise). A link for joining virtually will be shared once you have successfully registered. Please be aware of the time difference (we are in the Central Standard Time zone).
