SEMINAR: Everything you ever wanted to know about submitting

Andrew Rosendorf
Sunday, May 7, 2017 - 2:30pm
Monday, May 8, 2017 - 6:00pm
Venue:
Online and at the Playwrights' Center
Cost:
$10 for members and $20 for non-members

Where should I be submitting? Should I pay to submit? What is an Artistic Statement? How do I talk about my play and what I want to work on? How does networking factor into submitting? How does one develop a relationship with Literary Managers/Theaters? Can we talk about the long game vs. the short game of open submissions?

Among other things, participants will leave with resources to research, as well as things to consider in regards to creating an artistic statement that stands out.

Online participants should be prepared to join via webcam on their computer or laptop. Please wear a headset or earbuds with a built-in microphone (to minimize background noise). A link for joining virtually will be shared once you have successfully registered. Please be aware of the time difference (we are in the Central Standard Time zone).
