SEMINAR: Past Perfect: bringing history into the present

Kristin Idaszak
Sunday, February 19, 2017 - 2:30pm
Monday, February 20, 2017 - 6:00pm
Venue:
Online and at the Playwrights' Center
Cost:
$10 for members and $20 for non-members

Why are we fascinated with the past? What separates a musty museum piece from a riveting play set in an earlier time? Past Perfect will explore the advantages and potential pitfalls of writing historical plays, discuss techniques for how to approach research, and most importantly, investigate how playwrights can use the past in a way that resonates with the present. Come ready to write!

Online participants should be prepared to join via webcam on their computer or laptop. Please wear a headset or earbuds with a built-in microphone (to minimize background noise).
