SEMINAR DESCRIPTION

Sometimes writers can “grip the wheel” too tightly to the action and reaction of characters. We do this often because the target result is so specific. This often leads to predictable actions and dialogue that can feel too “easy”. This workshop is designed to simulate tools we use in role-playing games by using dice as a random number generator to our characters choice and interaction. The exercises explored in this workshop can be used to practice giving an unexpected voice to characters, as well as writing scripts without fully knowing where it will take us.
