"My first lessons in playwriting were [...] rewriting this play 13 times, I went through the back door of learning how to write plays, not through structure, but through intuition and play, and a need to vent.”- Alice Tuan

Join us for this one-month rewriting intensive with Core Writer Alice Tuan. This multi-week class will explode your play open, discover its mechanics, reveal its strengths and progress the play into its next incarnation. Before the class starts, each writer will send their current draft and a statement, including some background about the play, and three aspirations for its rewrite. The first two classes, all drafts will be read by all writers, so that all can engage with the plays. Dramaturgical strategies will be discussed and personalized for each writer.  There will be a week patch of time (during Thanksgiving holiday) to get another chunk of rewriting done. The second week of classes we will workshop the first chunk of rewrite and confirm or reassess the dramaturgical path. The following class will be used to workshop the rest of the rewrite.

Space is limited to 6 participants.

Class will take place Online on November 14, 16, 30 and December 4, 7, 12 from 6:30pm - 9:00pm CST.

Participants should take special note of the class description.
