"[The Playwrights' Center] is a sanctuary, a clubhouse, a place where you go to recharge. It's my artistic home." - Carson Kreitzer (PWC Core Writer)

The Playwrights' Center has long been the artistic home to many playwrights from across the country. Our primary goal is to develop, sustain, and connect playwrights to resources and opportuniies. Join McKnight Fellow Benjamin Benne in a discussion of various resources available to you at the Center and beyond. This seminar will focus on the various institutions throughout the nation that offer support to playwrights. It will explore the current trends in playwriting, and the emerging voices in the current theatrical landscape. Take this opportunity to learn about the larger world of playwriting and see how it can impact your work.

This is the seminar for you if:

  • You want to know more about contemporary emerging playwrights
  • You want to learn about the various national centers dedicated to playwrights
  • You'd like to hear about the current trends in playwriting.

PostScript: Check out this Star Tribune article that highlights the Playwrights' Center's impact locally and nationally.
