ANYA

created and performed by Meghan Kreidler

Club owner, band manager, fashion designer, actress, photographer, dominatrix, provocateur. “It Girl” Anya Phillips, a Taiwanese-American, defined New York’s downtown punk and no-wave scene of the late 70s and early 80s, yet has remained widely unknown due to her early death at age 26. ANYA begins to bring the many facets of Phillips’ story to life through original music.

HANDPRINTS

written and performed by Greta Oglesby

Handprints is a two-person autobiographical play, written and performed by Greta Oglesby. The humorous and poignant play draws on Oglesby’s life and family adventures through Greta’s unique style of storytelling, laced with puppetry and original songs. She is thrilled to announce that Handprints will premiere in the History Theatre’s 2024 season!

LANGUAGE OF LIGHT

by Wendy Weckwerth

Inspired by Maurice Maeterlinck's symbolist classic The Interior, Language of Light (working title) is a screenplay co-created by Wendy Weckwerth and Jackson Gay. Emotionally charged and spare, Language of Light, like its inspiration, unfolds along a simple action: delivering devastating, life-changing news.
