Plays are made not written.  …The play script as a blue print for a theatrical event.

Plays take place in the real world of performance with a collection of collaborators who make the playwright’s world of words come to life.  And there is the essential contribution of the audience.  The role of the text is to harmonize and unify these elements toward a live theatrical event.  In this class we will begin a new play with these factors in mind, learning tools and strategies to construct our scripts for the real world of performance.

Space is limited to six participants.  Participants will be expected to bring in fresh pages each week.

Classes will be held weekly on Thursday, October 15, Wednesdays October 21st - November 11th, and Thursday, November 19th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. (The first and last classes will be held on Thursdays due to scheduling conflicts in the space).
