From our favorite myths and fairy tales to the news of yesterday and today, we are constantly telling and retelling stories. Translating non-theatre content for the stage however presents its own set of challenges (or opportunities depending on who you are). In this interactive workshop, professional stage-adapter and McKnight National Residency and Commission writer Idris Goodwin shares some of his own tips and practices. We’ll collectively deconstruct and reconstruct our favorite stories, and try to answer the question: How do you make everyone’s story your story (and still make people feel like it’s their story)?
