“The first thing you need is an idea, an idea that you fall in love with. The idea tells you the mood you choose for the characters, how the characters talk. It tells you the story, it shows you all the details, and so all you have to do is stay true to that idea.”— David Lynch

This seminar, with Sofya Levitsky-Weitz, is especially helpful for writers who wish to transition into television writing. Participants can expect to equip themselves with the tools to start a new, original television pilot, from brainstorming to the eventual first draft. Learning the tools to write original television challenges and heightens one's skills in character, dialogue, plot, and world-building, and offers opportunities for commercial success in the future.
