THANK YOU!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to Play by Play Online on March 10. Together you raised almost $3,000 for the Playwrights’ Center and our Core Writer program.

Thanks also to those who joined us March 14 when talented local actors Sally Wingert, Michael Wieser, Eric Sharp, Audrey Park, H. Adam Harris, and Mark Benninghofen brought these incredible new plays to life in a live reading at the Playwrights’ Center. See photos from the performances »

Read the amazing new plays you helped create below and share them with your friends.

SHOWER by Susan Soon He Stanton and Harrison David Rivers
Lucas deals with his parents' impending breakup, his new boyfriend, and his sister's failed attempt to save a dying squirrel, all from the safety of his own shower.

NOUNS OF ASSEMBLAGE by Philip Dawkins and Lauren Yee
Barb and Erika, a couple expecting their first child, head to the graveyard to search for answers and, maybe, some trouble as well.

THE BEARS AT THE GATE by Meg Miroshnik and Kira Obolensky
Mary promises that she left her crazy life and her friend Weedy behind to become a well-behaved, church-going housewife (because nothing crazy ever happens at church).

INDIANA JONES AND THE LOST TREEHOUSE by Jenny Connell Davis and James Anthony Tyler
Three brothers gather at their childhood treehouse to grieve their little sister and give her the send off she deserves.

Proceeds from Play by Play support the Playwrights’ Center’s Core Writer program, which gives 25-30 professional playwrights from across the country artist fees, new play development funds, and opportunities to connect with producing theaters who can help move their plays from page to stage.
